Important notice to taxi drivers, government authorities and airport users regarding project at the airport.

Part of the next phase of the Landside Development project at the Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix, the Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is to modify the primary road lane and the secondary road lane in order to enhance the quality of service to the airport users, namely the taxi staging area, the taxi, bus and public pick up and drop off areas will be completely modified. As of April 16, 2012, the contractor will barricade and close part of the access and egress road to the airport terminal in order to execute the modification as mention on the primary and the secondary road lane.

The taxi staging area currently west of the staff parking (adjacent to staff parking) will be temporarily relocated to the west side of the bus staging area (see lay out plan) in order for the contractor to construct the new taxi staging area. There will be proper signs that will indicate the exact entrance and exit for this temporary taxi staging area.

The parking areas located in front of the car rental booths (in secondary lane) which are now being used by the local authorities and AAA will no longer be available as of April 16, 2012. Unless otherwise indicated the abovementioned users should park as of April 16, 2012 in the staff parking lot.

To expedite the service provided on our airport premises whilst complying with security/traffic regulations, we remind our users that users should comply with instructions given by the Airport Traffic personnel at all times. As the works progress notifications will be sent out in order to keep the public and the airport users properly informed of the developments of the project of any changes to the transportation logistics at the airport.
