For the first time in its history, the CAP (Caribbean Association of Pharmacist) will have its Midyear Meeting on 18-20 May of 2012 in Aruba at the Seaport Conference Center. This meeting is organized in collaboration with the SBFZ (Stichting ter Bevordering Farmaceutische Zorg) which is the educational arm of the VAA (Vereniging van Apothekers Aruba).

Recently Mr. Louise and Denise Germain resident of Cumberland Rhode Island were honored as Goodwill Ambassador after returning to Aruba for 20 years consecutive. The symbolic honorary title is presented in the name of the Minister of Tourism as a token of appreciation to guests who visit Aruba between ten and twenty consecutive years.
Four polesitters, Liesbeth Cornes, Roman Griffyn, Ifmar Croes and Nathan Janse, started their quest for immortal fame at Café the Plaza last Thursday morning: at 6.30 am they climbed onto their poles for the first time with their goal to break the record of 87 hours and 30 minutes.

Ling & Sons IGA and Quaker organized a fun Hike in our beautiful National Park Arikok last Sunday May 6. The Hike was the first IGA Caribbean Healthy challenge event this year. Participants arrived in the early morning at Ling & Sons IGA to take the free bus to Arikok. The Hike started at 7 A.M
